That night has now turned up in THREE pieces I’ve written. Maybe more even.
I get my money’s worth out my friends.

And to think, I bought the magazine special just to read this piece. I could have just waited and got it for FREE.
I feel so cheated. And so forth.

Is this going to ruin playing through the level myself? I’m demonstrating enormous restraint in not reading this, so I could do with knowing.
In other news, I should really buy Thief III soon. On this day five years ago, I should really have played System Shock 2 past the bit with the scary monkeys.

Mikey: Well, the features is really heavy on spoilers, but there’s a bit on the first page which warns you which bits are particularly spoiler heavy and which bits aren’t. It’s probably worth downloading just for the spoiler free interview with Null alone.

you still needed more on that KNOCKING noise in the first zone of the level. otherwise: awesome

This is a great article; there needs to be more of this!
The thing that frightened me most about The Cradle was just how out-of-place the whole thing seemed - we’re used to a medieval world and yet this is clearly a 1930s-style institution (lobotomies and ECT weren’t prevelant in psychiatry before then). The level sticks out of the game like a sore thumb, but in a very good way.
