Phonogram 2.6 And S.W.O.R.D. 2 Out
Crikey. It’s like Christmas for people who like comics called Phonogram and SWORD.
Penultimate issue released about a month after the last. Are we getting into a groove as we hit the final stretch? Maybe. Final issue will be January, alas, but it really will be all over by Christmas our end. Really. Well, probably.
There’s a five page preview of the issue here. Reviews? Well, as well as Comics Daily there’s one in Best Shots over at Newsarama and Comics Should Be Good.
This one’s about Lloyd/Mr Logos and is one of the formalist gallivanting ones. We’re pretty pleased with it.

Wherein a large robot fights two mutants and a tiny Dragon while a somewhat annoying ginger man plots bad stuff. AT ESCAPE VELOCITY and all that.

Other news? This is a particularly good article on The Singles Club generally, and well worth reading. Here’s an interview with me over at Marvel.com about Ares 3, and includes some really splendid art. Oh - and I never linked to the later load of Thor reviews. They’ve actually been worryingly encouraging. I was expecting a bit of a kicking after JMS, for the obvious “it almost doesn’t matter who it is - they’re going to get slaughtered because they’re not JMS” reasons. Except, with a few exceptions, it hasn’t been like that at all. Here’s Weekly Crisis, IGN and… oh, this Ifanboy reader review was fun. Actually, since the response was so upbeat, it’s one thing which made me take up Warren’s offer to do a week at Whitechapel - which is ongoing, and seeing me go on some hilarious old-skool rants. I was planning to hide from the internet for a few weeks.
Oh - you should go and buy Marc’s second Chloe Noonan. Here’s a review over at Forbidden Planet’s blog.
