Beta Ray Bill, Phonogram Zine and Western

Some splendid comic happening to catch up with. Firstly, there’s an eight page preview of the first issue of GODHUNTER up on CBR. It features a metaphor which involves punching, hence embraces the genre whilst still satisfying my urge for pretending to be clever. But punching, I tell you. Big punching!

Secondly, Matt Sheret has a preview of the cover of the 200-copies limited edition Phonogram fanzine he’s curating, which should be available to buy at San Diego. It looks like this!

And finally, the previously mentioned Western anthology from Accent UK is actually being listed in the current June Previews. It looks like this…

Being a smaller publisher, it means that if you want it, you really should order it from your retailer. If it doesn’t hit the threshold, it simply won’t be distributed by Diamond.

Finally: Hurrah for comics!

Aw, I’d love to get that fanzine, but unfortunately I’m wayyyyyy across the country from San Diego. Alas!

space horse! ridiculous, awesome comics tho KG, as always!

We should buy a horse and call it Beta Ray Bill. We could give it a cape and enter the National. Willie Carson gives us shit, and BAPPO! Into the ground like a tent peg.

There was an awesome photo online of a horse dressed up as beta ray bill, but I can’t find it now. SAD FACE.

I’m both excited and afraid that such a picture exists.

(… Maybe ask 4chan?)

Ah, alas: It’s photoshopped.
