Phonogram 2.2 Out And More
Well, here we go.

WINE AND BED AND MORE AND AGAIN is out today in the US and tomorrow in the UK. Here’s a five page preview. We pointed out the first review already, but there’s a second one from Sarah Jaffe of Newsarama:
Will compile more as they appear. And… oh, it’s Phonogram 2.2. Sorry about the delay. I think it’s worth it, and it should be less time until the next one. It could hardly be more. And while we’re talking Phonogram stuff, here’s an interview I did with the London Student Culture Magazine Play.
But that’s not the only comic I’ve got out this week:

Doctor Doom! Emma Frost! The Hood! Namor the Sub-Mariner! Loki! They’re the members of Norman Osborn’s secret Cabal of villainy, united in common cause as they move to change the very landscape of the Marvel Universe! Now, in five all-new stories, learn how each member of this sinister syndicate intends to capitalize on the situation—and perhaps how they intend to deal with each other should it prove necessary!
It’s an anthology comic with one story about each of Marvel’s Cabal from Jonathan Hickman, Matt Fraction, Peter Milligan, Rick Remender and myself. I’m taking Namor, the lord of Atlantis and comic’s premier arrogant man in speedos. There’s a couple of pages from each of the strips over in CBR’s preview.
Over in the world of videogames, here’s a preview I did about forthcoming God-of-War-in-Hell Dante’s Inferno:
“It certainly raised eyebrows. As impressively brutal and pummelling as Dante’s Inferno appears, the question is why on Earth - bar it being a licence that’s handily in the public domain - would you decide to take a 14th century Italian poem and turn it into a modern God-of-War-esque fighting game? A cynic could ask: what’s next from EA? Grand Theft Hamlet?”
I’ve a couple more previews to write from that EA event, which is a mass more transcription. So I probably better get back to it, eh?

Hey!
I just wanna say that Phonogram is, by far, the best comic of the week.

I never thought I’d say this (as a decades-long GM fan) but this pisses all over Seaguy and everything else, truly.
And I’m pretty sure I’ve been as sycophantic over in Barbelith as well, but I figure it never hurts to sow your wild plaudit oats far and wide.

Love should totally be spread.
Actually, just read Seaboy 2 and it’s the Morrison I’ve most dug for ages. Probably since WE3.

Ahh, WE3 - the only comic to make me cry like a big girl’s blouse. Vimanarama was pretty lovely too.
I so need to pre-order this time, mind.

My local shop won’t carry Phonogram 2 for some reason, despite my persistent harassment. They had the first series! Anyway, is there like a site where I can almost just subscribe to get it?

Christ. Do they give a reason? You’re US, aren’t you Xtine? In which case…
