Thought Bubble Schedule

The solicitations for February are up and the news that I’m sending Tony into space from issue 6 onwards has broke, but I’ll save writing about that properly until next week. Let’s do a post with my schedule for the weekend of the always-great Thought Bubbble, eh?

The full program is here, but what I’m doing…

Bury Theatre, Royal Armouries.

Antony Johnston, Kate Brown, Kieron Gillen, Al Ewing, Fiona Staples – Join our panel to discover the hidden gems & best of the year’s comics that you should be reading, then head into the convention hall to track them down! Hosted by Tom Oldham.

1000 Words Conference, 11am – 3.45pm,
Alea Cinema Room.

This is basically a day of awesome sessions from people from all disciplines (not just comics), curated by Matthew Sheret. It’ll be great. For some reason, I’ve been asked to do the keynote at the end, which is…
3.15pm – 3.45pm: Kieron Gillen (writer; Journey Into Mystery, Uncanny X-Men, Phonogram) talks about how comics & culture collide, & how it helps drive his own work.

Do come. I’ve done a slide-show and everything.

The Aftershow Party, 9:00pm to 2:00 am
The Corn Exchange.

DJing again. This is always one of the best nights in the comic year for me. Do come if you can. The current timeslots?

9:00-9:30 – Kieron Gillen
9:30-10:00 – Jamie McKelvie
10-10:45 – Boo Cook
10:45:-11:30 – Mikey Bennet
11:30-12:15 – Al Ewing
12:15- 1:00 – Antony Johnston
1:00-1:30 – Jamie McKelvie
1:30-2:00 – Kieron Gillen

Though dancing will continue past 2 if dancing continues past 2.

And McKelvie and I have a table, so do come by and say Hi and/or get stuff signed or whatever. We’ll be there whenever we’re there, which will be all the time we’re not elsewhere.
